I played a bit with your blend file, as my mind is fresh enough to do some basics in rigging.

And I also applied my naming conventions on the bones.
By now, this model is also capable of sitting, and also possible in walking (in a simple manner). When you really want it to walk in a very good way, grab the Mancandy FAQ tutorial made by Bassam Kurdali, I think it is still available at bittorrent.
btw, you still need to rig the fingers. I just left the bones hanging in there as I need to go back to work now.
Just a piece of advice, when modeling a character, always give emphasis on the curves of the body, what I mean is the flow of the body. Like in the legs, it is usually bent forward a bit, and in the arms, it is always backward a bit. Don't make it straight (well, for me) so it is much more organic to look at, and much easier to rig.
